This morning due to technical difficulties in the Irish Coast Guard Coordination centre in Dublin City Howth Coast Guard were requested to maintain a VHF watch of channel 16.
A shift roster was rolled out to keep radio watch active in the station's operations room. Team members monitored radio traffic and relayed esssential radio traffic for the Dublin region.
After 4 hours of watch Coast Guard engineers resolved the problem and the team was stood down.
