Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116, Howth Coast Guard, Dun Laoghaire Lifeboat and Gardai were tasked to attend.
Rescue teams arrived and located a person in the water requiring assistance. Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 116 lowered their winchman into the water and they successfully winched the casualty aboard and the helicopter proceeded to Beaumont Hospital.
Howth Coast Guard were then tasked to assist with the landing site at Beaumont. With the assistance of Gardai members Howth CG volunteers routed from Dollymount to Beaumont and assisted with the transfer of the casualty to Beaumont A&E. The cooperation of local Gardai, Dun Laoghaire RNLI and the Coast Guard led to quick recovery from the water and transfer of the casualty to hospital.
