As the CG team were searching the area the Howth Inshore Lifeboat located a casualty high on the cliffs. He was winched aboard Rescue helicopter 116 with no serious injuries.

This afternoon the Gardai contacted the Coast Guard National Maritime Operations Centre for assistance with a coastal search on Howth Head. Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 116, the Howth Coast Guard unit and the Howth RNLI lifeboat were all tasked to assist in the search.
