This afternoon the Coast Guard operations centre received a call reporting a dog trapped on cliffs at Balscadden Beach in Howth.
Howth Coast Guard Cliff Rescue team were tasked. The dog was located 4 meters above the beach and had become trapped after exploring. Following attempts to rescue him by the public the Coast Guard were called.
The Team used a ladder to get to the dog and brought him back to the safety of the beach. The dog was in good form and returned to his owner.
