At 1pm today the Irish Coast Guard operations centre received 999 calls from people walking the seafront in Clontarf. It was reported that there were people in the water between the Clontarf Yacht Club and the Wooden Bridge who may get into difficulty. Beach Lifeguards from Dollymount and a Coast Guard unit were tasked immediately.
The call turned out to be a false alarm with good intent but thanks to the public for making the call. Time is of the essence with incidents in the water ,If ever in DOUBT, Give us a SHOUT!
