Howth Coast Guard were tasked yesterday at 16.30 to assist DFB and HSE paramedics who had a patient with a cardiac event while out walking off track in the forest in Deerpark. Unit volunteers arrived and worked with the other services to prepare the patient for helicopter evacuation. The HSE advanced paramedic and the patient were lifted by CG Rescue 116 to Kilmanham hospital grounds for onward transport to St, James's hospital. Howth were stood down at 17.20.
