5 members of the Howth Coast Guard unit returned on Saturday morning at first light with pumping equipment but it wasn’t required.

On Friday evening a boat was reported to be taking on water close to Malahide Marina. Members of the Irish Coast Guard unit from Howth, Howth RNLI inshore lifeboat and a unit from Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene. The boat was brought to a safe point and a decision made to return at first light to pump out the water. Howth RNLI had confirmed nobody was on board.
