Howth CG were tasked today at 11.47 to Beaumont hospital to prepare the landing site for CG Helicopter 116 which was at an incident on Kiliney beach and was required to transfer a patient to the hospital quickly. Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard unit and the HSE were on scene at Kiliney and the helicopter landed on the beach to retrieve the casualty and HSE advanced paramedic for a quick loading.
Howth CG went to Beaumont along with the Gardai, Dublin Fire Brigade and the HSE. R116 landed and the unit assisted transferring the casualty to the waiting HSE ambulance. The unit were stood down at 13.10 after returning to the station.
