At 0650 this morning Howth Coast Guard was requested by the Coast Guard National Maritime Operations Centre to assist a car which had become stuck in sand on Dollymount beach. A unit responded and the car was recovered at 0720.
Howth Coast Guard would like to remind beach users to be careful of driving on sand and that the Coast Guard may not always be available to assist bogged down cars.
