Search for Missing Person

Howth Coast Guard were tasked today at 14.00 on request of the Gardai who were concerned for a missing person. Gardai believed the person may have been in the Howth area and requested the CG to conduct a search. Howth Coast Guard searched an area from Balscadden beach to the Summit and on completing that an area behind the Deerpark golf course. The Gardai helicopter joined the search and completed the lower cliff areas. Nothing was found and at 18.00 the team were stood down. Gardai are continuing to investigate the matter.
