Howth Boat Crew Assist Four on Cliff
While on patrol today at 17.10 Howth Coast Guard Boat 'Grainne' and her crew came upon two adults and two children trying unsuccessfully to ascend the cliffs at the Baily lighthouse. They had descended the cliffs to shore fish at the rocks on the South side of the lighthouse but on finishing they were having difficulty on the ascent. The boat crew asked them to come back down to the rocks and took them safely back to Howth harbour. The boat was met by a volunteer on shore who returned the casualties to their car. They did not require any further assistance.
Grainne continued on patrol until 19.00
