High Tides Cause Flood Warning

Howth Coast Guard wish to advise that particularly high astronomical tides are predicted to occur at all Irish Coastal locations during the months of September, October and November 2006.

New Shiny Stripes - Jeep & Van

Howth Coast Guard Van & Jeep have been fitted with new reflective stripes to match the rest of the Irish Coast Guard vehicle fleet. The side stripes have changed from deep-orange/yellow to reflective ‘dayglow’ yellow with blue reflective bands on either side.

Two Howth climbers last night
Howth & Skerries Coast Guard Units plus the Civil Defence, Fire Service and Dublin Coast Guard helicopter will hold a mini SAR Demo in Donabate/Portrane on Sunday 7th May at 2pm. It will involve a simulated plane crash, chemicals on beach, buildings on fire, recovery operation and cliff rescue.

Body of Man Recovered From Sea

Today, the body of a man believed to be in his 40s was recovered from the sea at Howth, Co Dublin, by the Howth Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) near the Bailey Lighthouse.
28/03/06 Garda­ have now confirmed the identity of the man recovered.
