Major SAR Incident Exercise

18 members of Howth CG Unit were involved in a major SAR incident exercise last weekend. The exercise involved Fire, Rescue, Ambulance and Water units from the Civil Defence alongside the Coast Guard units from Howth and Skerries. Gardai Seek Assistance in Identification

RTE News report on the team’s recovery last night:
“Garda­ are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the body of a man which was taken from the Irish Sea off Howth Head, Co Dublin, yesterday evening.
The body was recovered from the sea by a Coast Guard helicopter shortly 6pm and was removed to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.
