The Howth Coast Guard boat was in action today at the Greystones Festival. As part of the proceedings Greystones CG unit hosted a search and rescue display. Taking part were Wicklow lifeboat, Wicklow Civil Defence boat, Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 116 and of course Howth CG boat.
Howth provided safety boat cover during the rescue senarios.
A SEARCH and RESCUE Exercise similar to the exercise we held in Howth recently will be held at Greystones, Co. Wicklow on Sunday 6th August 2006 at 4 pm. The team gathered today to put our equipment on show at the Howth Peninsula Festival. The Stationhouse was open to the public with the jeep, 2 equipment vans, 2 boats, the quad & trailer outside.
