An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern paid a visit to Howth Harbour yesterday as guest of the Harbourmaster and local community. Greystones Festival

The Howth Coast Guard boat was in action today at the Greystones Festival. As part of the proceedings Greystones CG unit hosted a search and rescue display. Taking part were Wicklow lifeboat, Wicklow Civil Defence boat, Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 116 and of course Howth CG boat.

Howth provided safety boat cover during the rescue senarios.

A SEARCH and RESCUE Exercise similar to the exercise we held in Howth recently will be held at Greystones, Co. Wicklow on Sunday 6th August 2006 at 4 pm. Howth Peninsula Festival - Day 1

Cliff Rescue & SAR Demonstration - Howth

Sunday 16th July,Cliff Rescue Techniques 1pm.
Search & Rescue Display 4.30pm (RNLI & Irish Coast Guard). 
Our station is also open all weekend for tours with safety information & equipment on show.
