Suspected Body on Howth Cliffs

The Howth Coast Guard Unit were paged on request of the Howth Gardai this afternoon to investigate a suspect object rolled in a blue sheet on the side of the cliff above Lion’s Head. The package had been reported by two walkers earlier in the day.

Two Howth climbers last night
Howth & Skerries Coast Guard Units plus the Civil Defence, Fire Service and Dublin Coast Guard helicopter will hold a mini SAR Demo in Donabate/Portrane on Sunday 7th May at 2pm. It will involve a simulated plane crash, chemicals on beach, buildings on fire, recovery operation and cliff rescue.

“Garda­ are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the body of a man which was taken from the Irish Sea off Howth Head, Co Dublin, yesterday evening.
