Casualty Rescued From 40ft Cliffs

1800hrs Breaking News: The team have been out since 1530hrs rescuing a casualty from the Howth cliffs stuck 40ft from the bottom. Team Airlift Female from Howth Cliff Fall

The team were paged at 1510hrs today to assist a woman on ‘Jamesons Beach’ on Howth Head. Arriving with a very quick response, members of the Coast Guard team discovered the woman had fallen 5-6m over the cliff edge off the steep steps descending to the beach.

Major SAR Incident Exercise

18 members of Howth CG Unit were involved in a major SAR incident exercise last weekend. The exercise involved Fire, Rescue, Ambulance and Water units from the Civil Defence alongside the Coast Guard units from Howth and Skerries.
