2008-2009 Yamaha Jet Skis: Recall Notice

Howth Coast Guard have been advised of a product recall concerning some 2008 and 2009 year models of Yamaha Water Vehicles (Jet Skis).
Yamaha Water Vehicles, models FX1800-G/H and FX1800A-G/H.

Call to Assist Motorist

Howth CG were tasked this morning at 02.00 to assist a motorist stuck in the mud in Malahide estuary. While assembling at the station the unit received a call that the motorist had freed the car so the team were stood down.

At 13.30 today Howth CG were tasked to Dollymount beach to investigate a report of a kitesurfer in trouble offshore. The second call to Dollymount in 24 hours. Dun Laoghaire ILB and Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 116 were also tasked. A kite had been seen offshore and it was suspected a person was in difficulty. [...]

DOLLYMOUNT, DUBLIN (12th November 2008) - Tonight, Howth Coast Guard members gathered for a training exercise on Dollymount Sand Dunes in North Dublin. Team members were issued a brief for a missing jogger ‘for exercise only’ and instructed to find him using illumination flares from the three search teams Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie.
