Yesterday while finishing their patrol for the day the crew of the Howth Coast Guard boat were tasked by Dublin MRCC to recover a body in the water in Dublin Bay. It had been discovered by a passing yacht which reported it’s position and stood by.

Grainne left Howth Harbour and went quickly to the position. The body was recovered into the boat and brought to the Dun Laoghaire Lifeboat slip where a crew from the station assisted the Grainne. The Gardai and Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard unit were also on scene.

Thanks to the Dun Laoghaire Lifeboat crew for their assistance.
