On Wednesday 23rd at 1645 Howth CG was tasked by MRCC Dublin following a report from a member of the public that they had seen a capsized boat between Irelands Eye and Lambay Island. A volunteer went to Portmarnock and scanned the area but could see nothing. Rescue helicopter Mike Echo Sierra was in the air over the area at the time but could not find anything either. The team was stood down at 1715hrs.
