At 2330 last night Howth Coast Guard received a call from Dublin Coast Guard MRCC to investigate two 999 calls of lights on Ireland’s Eye, an uninhabitated island just off Howth Harbour. Two volunteers went to the harbour and did see lights on the island. With the help of a passing vessel they came to the conclusion that whoever was on the island was not looking for assistance and that further action was not needed.
