Howth Coast Guard were tasked this evening at 18.06 to attend Malahide where a local vessel had towed in a leaking oil drum. The vessel Emma C discovered the 45 gallon drum off Malahide and considered it a danger so attached a line to it and brought it into the slip. The Coast Guard unit removed it from the water made it safe and passed it to Fingal County Council for safe disposal. Thanks to the crew of the vessel Emma C for removing the danger.
The unit were stood down at 20.00
