While on patrol in Dublin Bay on Tuesday afternoon, the HCG boat “Grainne” was tasked to assist with a gentleman who had collapsed on the Bull Wall Clontarf. On arrival the Fire Brigade and Lifeguards were already there and personnel from the Brigade were administering CPR. The casualty was taken by ambulance to hospital. The boat was stood down and resumed her patrol. That afternoon the replica Viking longship the “Sea Stallion” arrived in Dublin and the HCG boat was there to greet her together with a flotilla of other boats including the Garda and Navy.
