On Saturday the 14th Howth Coast Guard Boat, while out on patrol, took part in the towing recovery of two vessels to malahide marina. The vessels had lost power while out for the day.

Also on Monday the 16th Howth Coast Guard were tasked to investigate a report from Irish Coast guard Helicopter ‘Mike Echo Sierra’ of a fishing vessel trailing an oil slick behind it. The vessel returned to Howth harbour and a volunteer spoke to the skipper. The vessel had a engine oil problem which was quickly rectified.
