Howth ILB responded quickly today and recovered two people stuck at the bottom of the cliffs at the nose of Howth. Three more people who were also there made their way to the top by foot.
Howth CG were paged at 1545 and asked to stand by in case the three needed assistance to ascend. We assembled at the station but it was reported all made it safely to the top unaided.
Howth were stood down at 1630.
Howth Coast Guard would like to remind people that climbing on the cliffs in Howth is extremely dangerous and to keep to the cliff path when out walking. When fishing do not descend the cliffs to access the water.
Incident 23/07

this seems to be a worrying new trend, saw 3 there today , strong south easterlies with 6-9 ft spray hitting the lower rocks, its just stupidity……..
