Howth Coast Guard unit were out today at 13.00 to attend the blessing of the boats as guests of Clontarf Yacht Club. The unit’s vehicles as well as ‘Grainne’ were in attendance. The Club uses it as an occasion to treat some local special needs children to a trip out on the water. Thanks to Clontarf YC who put on tea and sandwiches for all after the ceremony.
Coast Guard rescue helicopter ‘Mike Echo Sierra’ also made a fly past for the children.
Howth CG were back on station at 16.00
