Howth Coast Guard unit were tasked tonight by at 21.35 by MRCC Dublin to a report from a member of the public of a kitesurfing sail unattended on the beach at Dollymount. Two members of the team went to the beach to check out the report. They spoke to Gardai from Clontarf who were already on scene but they had not seen anything. The area was searched but nothing was found. We suspect the sail was recovered by somebody else before the Gardai or the team members arrived and that nobody was in need of assistance. The team were stood down at 22.40
