Howth CG were tasked today at 16.47 to a report from a passing yacht of what appeared to be two people trapped on rocks at the Nose of Howth. Two team members went quickly to the location to confirm the situation. On arrival at the Nose of Howth they contacted the vessel which was waiting offshore to get the precise location of the two people. On investigating they found two men fishing off a rock at the base of the cliff but they did not seem to be in any distress. The volunteers spoke to the men and were told that they did not require any assistance and were happy with their position.

Howth CG thanked the vessel for their report to Dublin Coast Guard Radio and were stood down.
