Howth CG were tasked tonight at 19.35 to respond to multiple calls from the public of a flare sighted at the Martello tower in Sutton. A search was conducted along the sea front at Sutton and people fishing at the Martello tower were spoken to but the source of the flare was not located. We were happy that the flare had orginated on land and no vessel was in trouble. We reported nothing found to MRCC Dublin and were stood down at 20.30.
