Howth were out yesterday morningĀ for some basic cliff training with some of our potential new cliff climbers. At the Baily we lowered and recovered climbers on on a basic two climber set-up to get them used to the feeling of going over the edge. From these exercises we choose our new cliff rescuers for future training. Next stage is training for a walking casualty quick recovery. This method is used to recover a stranded person cut off by the incoming tide or a person who gets into a sticky situation on the cliffs and cannot walk out of it themselves.
