
Howth CG were tasked today at 11.20 to a report by Coast Guard helicopter ‘MIKE ECHO SIERRA’ of a body on the cliffs. It had been seen while they were carrying out a winching exercise near an area known as Foxes Hole. Howth CG assembled and arrived on scene quickly and located the body with the assistance of the Coast Guard helicopter overhead. It was located midway down the cliff in an area difficult to reach unaided. A cliff top recovery was set up and two climbers were sent down and it was recovered to the top by stretcher. The body was then removed to the care of Howth CG station.
Conditions on scene were good.
