Howth Coast Guard were tasked at 09.45 this morning by MRCC Dublin to a report of an upturned boat in the water in Balscadden Bay on the East side of Howth Harbour. The report was given by a member of the public.

Four teams of volunteers searched the coast from the East Pier around to the Nose of Howth. Conditions on scene were excellent with a flat sea and no wind. We searced for an hour along with the assistance of a yacht with two members of Howth CG on board who happened to be out for a race. Nothing was found and we were stood down at 10.50.
