Howth CG unit were today tasked at 11.15 to a report from a member of the public of a sighting of a suspected body in the water near Balscadden. The team responded to the area quickly. On investigation of the scene it was thought that the visibility was too poor due to fog so we requested the assistance of Howth ILB to cover the area offshore. The search was continued to 12.45 but nothing was found.
Conditions on scene: Visibilty poor due to fog but sea calm and weather dry.
