Due to the ‘inclement’ weather this morning the crew stayed close to the station. Our new salvage/fire pump was put through it’s paces much to the amusement of the Howth seals. A first aid exercise was carried out in the station using a scenario of somebody falling down the stairs and having suspected spinal and neck injuries. The casualty was packaged and removed for transport to hospital. Our climbing training is never too far away so our knots and getting a rescue climber kitted for a rescue were covered.
