UPDATE 31st Oct - 10:20am: The casualty from the incident has been safely located this morning in a village outside of Howth.

Missing Person Search

Howth Coast Guard were paged at 2315hrs last night (30th Oct) to search for a male who had been reported missing. His car was located in the car park at Balscadden on the Howth Cliffs.

Over 15 rescue volunteers from the Howth Unit assembled into two teams to conduct a search of the cliffs from the Summit to Balscadden Bay along the lower and upper cliff paths into Tuesday morning.

Rescue 116 helicopter was tasked to conduct a sea search off the coast ENE of Howth head and then back along the coast from Balscadden, Howth harbour and the Claremont beach.

Nothing was found on scene and the Howth Unit were stood down at 02.45 and are currently on standby for further searches of the area.
