
While attending as observers at a Lifeguard competition on Claremont beach, Howth CG were tasked today at 13.49 to respond to a report of a body in the water off the East pier at the harbour. Howth ILB also attended. The report was from a member of the public that he saw a black mass in the water off the pier. A full search along the Pier was conducted as well as a search in the water by the ILB. Nothing was found and the search was stood down by Dublin MRCC at 14.30
Weather conditions on scene were good.
