Howth Coast Guard were tasked today to investigate and remove TEPs(Time Expired Pyrotechnics) from Malahide. They were dumped in a rubbish bin at the Marina. Howth CG cannot stress enough how stupid and dangerous it is disposing of these flares in this manner. Flares are classed as explosive material and should be disposed of in the correct manner. The Coast Guard at this time are not responsible for the disposal of TEPs.
