The team gathered today to put our equipment on show at the Howth Peninsula Festival. The Stationhouse was open to the public with the jeep, 2 equipment vans, 2 boats, the quad & trailer outside. Inside, a scaled down version of the cliff-top rescue setup had been laid out for view, a table of safety on the water information was available and a video & slideshow were running.
The festival continues tomorrow with a Cliff Rescue Demonstration on the East Pier at 1pm, the blessing of the boats at 3pm and the RNLI & Irish Coast Guard helicopter (MES/116) on display at 4.30pm with commentary from the East Pier.
