Training on Pier

Wednesday night of this week saw the team train in vertical rescue, on the horizontal! The team gathered with vehicles and cliff rescue equipment on the grass area of the east pier. It is important to train in all aspects of cliff rescue regularly as the more irregular unused methods need as much attention as the standard procedures to keep skill levels fresh.

Two stretcher haul climbs were setup in their full capacity on the flat for training purposes looking at the some of the more technical concepts and arrangements. Without the associated danger of an edge team members can get up-close to equipment, practice setup methods to achieve the optimum method and inspect & discuss each others work.
