Howth CG boat launched today at 12.00 to attend the blessing of the boats at Clontarf Yacht Club. The Unit’s 4×4 and van were in attendance on shore. The YC also treated some local special needs kids to trips out in the yachts which they enjoyed immensely in spite of the ‘damp’ conditions. The CG boat performed some man overboard drills for the assembled visitors.
Thanks to Clontarf YC, who after the ceremony treated all the CGs to tea and sandwiches in the clubhouse.
Howth CG boat then left on lifejacket compliance patrol back into Dublin bay. They were back on station at 16.00.
