Howth Coast Guard Van & Jeep have been fitted with new reflective stripes to match the rest of the Irish Coast Guard vehicle fleet. The side stripes have changed from deep-orange/yellow to reflective ‘dayglow’ yellow with blue reflective bands on either side.
While the jeep was finished by lunch yesterday, the van is still being completed today. Yesterday, mid-job, the van had to be used on a cliff-rescue to transport the equipment to the baily lighthouse leaving the station with half it’s bodywork missing!
The completed jeep is on-view outside the station-house while the van is stored inside.
