Howth CG unit were paged at 16.14 today to respond to reports of a person entering the water at the east pier in Howth harbour. Howth ILBÂ responded quickly and recovered the person. Ambulance personnel, paramedics and Gardai were also on scene. Despite resuscitation attempts by the lifeboat and ambulance crews the person died at the scene.
Howth CG were stood down soon after the person was recovered.
