Howth CG boat ‘Grainne‘ was out on Lifejacket compliance monitoring patrol today. Weather conditions were good and Grainne visited Dun Laoghaire harbour and Dublin Bay. Major SAR Incident Exercise

18 members of Howth CG Unit were involved in a major SAR incident exercise last weekend. The exercise involved Fire, Rescue, Ambulance and Water units from the Civil Defence alongside the Coast Guard units from Howth and Skerries. New Shiny Stripes - Jeep & Van

Howth Coast Guard Van & Jeep have been fitted with new reflective stripes to match the rest of the Irish Coast Guard vehicle fleet. The side stripes have changed from deep-orange/yellow to reflective ‘dayglow’ yellow with blue reflective bands on either side.
