Paul Cooper of the Howth Unit is just back from representing the Irish Coast Guard at the annual UK MCA (Maritime Coastguard Agency) sailing race in Largs, Scotland. The Irish team was made up of 6, Norman Fullam (Headquarters), Damian Desmond (Crosshaven), Russell Orpen (Valentia Radio), Austin Brodrick (Guileen), Rory Jackson (Toe Head) and Paul himself.

The event sounded great fun and Paul and the crew did the IRCG proud. They won the prize for best team work aswell as a bottle of whiskey for best song sung by the crew (composed by Norman to the tune of Donald where’s your trousers!).

Congratulations all round.
