7 members of the Howth unit were out on the sea today in the Howth Delta ‘Grainne’ and the new Irish Coast Guard ‘MST Intruder’ pictured in the background above. The new boat was on sea trials, being tested for a role of suitability, while the Delta was partaking in lifejacket compliance patrols covering Howth Sound, Irelands Eye, Dalkey Island, Dun Laoghaire Harbour and Dublin Port.

Launch: 1248hrs, Recovery 1630hrs.
Conditions: Temp 6C, NW Wind, Force 4-5. Good visibility with scattered showers.
