The team was paged at 1030hrs this morning on request of Howth Gardai, to aid in the search for an injured person after a member of the public reported evidence of heavy bleeding on the track at Casana Rock. The Howth Coast Guard Unit proceeded to search the area alongside Howth Lifeboat ILB, Rescue Helicopter 116 & Local Gardai. Evidence, belongings & markings on the cliff path were recovered by the team and passed over to Detective Gardai on scene. The team stood down at approximately 1300hrs, Gardai are believed to have made contact with the individual involved.
Weather Conditions: Temp 7.9C, SE Wind Gusting 9knts. Clear visability until 1230hrs when cloud and rain approached.
