MRCC were notified by a member of the public of the location of a body this evening near the Bailey Lighthouse, Howth, Co. Dublin. The Howth Coast Guard Unit were paged at 1724hrs to aid in the recovery of the male body at Whitewater Brook. Howth Lifeboat ILB, Rescue Helicopter 116 & Howth Gardai were also on scene. All services were involved in a winch lift from the beach to the helipad before transfer to ambulance. The team stood down at 1915hrs and returned to the stationhouse.
